Willie Nelson To Rock New York City For Biodiesel Alliance

September 7th 2007

williw.jpgBack in April, we brought you news of Daryl Hannah and Willie Nelson’ new initiative to establish a sort of checks and balances standard for biodiesel. Called the Sustainable Biodiesel Alliance, the group would watch the supply chain and make sure participating firms were truly creating environmentally-friendly fuels.

Moving ahead to present day, the Alliance is gaining strength and Willie Nelson is planning to rock Times Square to help raise money for the group. On September 10th — and hosted by Woody Harrelson — the Hard Rock Cafe will set the stage for “Willie Nelson & Friends“. From the site,

“He told your mammas not to let you grow up and be cowboys. He starred as the “Historian Smoker” in Half Baked. And now he’s taking his stance on gas prices and the environment to Times Square as part of the Ambassadors of Rock Tour.”

Cool gig, right? According to the site, Daryl Hannah will also be in attendance. To bid on some VIP tickets — and get a chance to walk the red carpet with your favorite stars — click here.
