Joining actor Will Ferrell as one of the fortunate few, comedian Jay Leno became the latest person to receive keys to a BMW Hydrogen 7 – the first hydrogen-powered luxury sedan. Jay received the vehicle at his famed “green” car garage in Burbank, California and had this to say of the honor,

“As an avid car enthusiast I’m always interested in the future of automotive technology. With the BMW Hydrogen 7 I can experience all the fun and great features of a performance car, yet know that I’m being environmentally friendly at the same time! I look forward to driving the Hydrogen 7 and learning more about hydrogen as a fuel for our future.”

Leno is a fitting choice; considering his obsession with vehicles and the technologies available to make them more eco-friendly. We look forward to hearing his thoughts on the car and technology. No word yet (current predictions are 5-15 years) on if BMW ever plans on releasing the car to the consumer market. For more information, click here.
