It’s not often in Hollywood that you hear a celebrity making green lifestyle changes to save money. And yet, that’s just what former Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar is attempting with her eco-friendly ways. She recently revealed to SELF magazine that her eco habits are all about the green. From the article,
“‘I take my reusable bag to Whole Foods so I get a discount. I go to Bloomingdale’s on double rewards day. And I always print my dry cleaning coupons before I go. My dry cleaner laughs. He’s like, ‘You don’t have to keep printing them out!’ She also admitted that most of her neighbors are actually annoyed with her green ways, especially the bicycle. ‘Not only is it bright pink with the bell and streamers and the whole thing, but it has Hello Kitty tires. Every time I leave my apartment, my doorman just shakes his head.’”
She also gets grief and laughs from other biking actors for riding with groceries — and going slow. “I’m getting better at it,” she quipped. And Sarah — we commend your green ways. It’s great to see your actions not only benefiting the planet, but also your bank account.

And it’s not like she lives in a house that’s 20 times what a normal person lives in…
um.
right?
For one thing, quit printing out your damned coupons!! Hello Eco-Razzi, totally NOT green. ‘Hope she uses recycled paper.
Second, it is a GREAT way to get the attention of the masses – forget “Green,” (it’s proven to incite hippie-hatred…), appeal to everyone’s interest in *saving $money$*
CFLs, Geo-Thermal, Passive Solar, Photo-Voltaics, Solar-Thermal – all save **bundles** in the long run.
Smart lady. Always liked her acting and thought she was too smart to have her head spun by fame. Glad to see at least one popular actor isn’t letting the sucess ruin her (or his) future. Now I like her even more.
