Stana Katic Brings Sustainable Fashion To Feast Of Love Premiere
Filed under: fashion, movies — Michael Andre d'Estries @ 5:20 pm
Sustainable fashion continues to share the limelight with Hollywood’s stars at premieres around the country. It’s an encouraging sign that gowns made from bamboo, organic cotton, and other eco-friendly materials are en vogue.
Actress Stana Katic attended the premiere of her film “Feast of Love” in Hollywood last night in a one-of-a-kind eco-friendly gown from Sameunderneath. The floor-length gown is periwinkle blue with burnt mango accents and a dramatic reverse pleat in the back. It’s crafted from soy/organic cotton and tencel, which is a cellulose fabric that is produced from wood pulp and an organic solvent spinning process. The chemicals used in the spinning process are retrieved from the water, purified and recycled, resulting in very little byproduct. In addition to being sustainable, this fabric is supposedly very soft, absorbent, wrinkle resistant and strong when wet or dry.
We’ve profiled Sameunderneath on Ecorazzi before because of their green values and beautiful sustainable clothing. Their publicity firm, Samantha Slaven Publicity, also does a hell of a job getting the word out on their products and pushing them into the spotlight. We commend their efforts to make eco-friendly clothing a viable option for discerning fashionistas and their celebrity clients.
