Really? Kimmel to Host Live Bi-Coastal Shows Next Week

The current article you are reading does not reflect the views of the current editors and contributors of the new Ecorazzi

Next week, Regis goes on vacation. Jimmy Kimmel will will fill his seat opposite Kelly Ripa each day on Live with Regis & Kelly. Of course, he’ll still be doing his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! each night as well. Two live shows each day.

But wait, isn’t one filmed in New York City, and the other in Los Angeles?

That’s right, we’ve got an eco-nightmare on our hands. From the AP article:

During the week of Oct. 22, Kimmel will fly back and forth across the country daily, co-hosting with Kelly Ripa in New York each morning and taping his own show in Los Angeles each night. That’s two cross-country flights a day for five days.

Ugh.

Kimmel had this to say, “I am a little bit insane. It will be difficult, but that’s how committed I am to entertaining America. And parts of Canada.”

Sounds crazy, alright. And like a publicity stunt. Didn’t want to think about getting another host for the show, or maybe bringing one of the shows to tour to the other city for a week, huh? Jimmy, the Ecorazzi are not happy.

A million thanks to our Chicago photog Jason Crawford for the tip!
