Hillary Swank Chops Her Locks For Charity

hilary_swank.jpgAiring today, Hillary Swank will be a guest on Oprah and do something a little out of the ordinary by cutting off about nine inches of her hair. This is no stunt, however, as Swank has been growing out her locks with the goal of donating them to Pantene Beautiful Lengths; an initiative dedicated to supporting and encouraging women who have lost their hair during cancer treatment.  From the article,

“‘It’s taken months to get to this moment,’ Winfrey says. ‘It involves a two-time Academy Award winner, a sharp object, and me.’

‘I’ve been growing it for the last six months to donate my hair,’ Swank says. ‘I’ve been taking a lot of vitamins and taking really good care of it, knowing that it would go to a woman in need.’”
