Eva Longoria Raises Awareness For Ovarian Cancer At "A Night Of Hope"

eva-longoria-loreal-main.jpgPresented by L’Oreal Paris and Harper’s Bazaar, Diane Keaton and Andie McDowell co-hosted “A Night of Hope” to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. L’Oreal spokespeople Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington joined the evening festivities which included a silent auction featuring fashions and accessories from designers including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Donna Karan, Bulgari and De Beers. According to the press release:

“A Night of Hope” is hosted by L’Oréal Paris and all proceeds raised at the event will be donated to OCRF’s research programs. President of L’Oréal Paris, Carol J. Hamilton says, “This year marks the tenth anniversary of L’Oréal Paris’ support of The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. I am proud of the fact that L’Oréal is the largest corporate fundraiser in this critical fight against ovarian cancer. Since 1997, we have helped to raise over $13 million to fund life-saving research and to promote awareness building programs to help empower women to make educated choices about their health and well-being.”

Known as the “silent killer,” ovarian cancer lacks any type of early detection or cure which makes L’Oreal’s efforts to raise awareness of this disease and its symptoms all the more critical. L’Oréal spokespeople Andie MacDowell and Milla Jovovich will take part in the first-ever public service announcements for ovarian cancer. In addition, people can buy “Color of Hope” jewelry and cosmetics to raise funds for OCRF. So check out the jewels and do your part to raise awareness of this critical disease.
