Goody Goody! Ashley Judd Designs Eco-Friendly Fashion For Charity

ashley_judd.jpgActress Ashley Judd has teamed up with American clothing giant Goody’s to create an eco-friendly clothing line for charity. The new range will benefit education organizations throughout the U.S. and Judd has promised to do her part to make sure the final product is sustainable. From the article,

“Commenting on the range she stated, ‘Our schools are in dire need. With my eco-friendly, moderately priced clothes, Goody’s will give away half a million dollars to schools in need. And that’s just the first year.’”

Judd has also been workin passionately to combat AIDS and HIV with various organizations. Most recently, she attended the premiere of a new documentary she completed with National Geographic called India’s Hidden Plague. In the film, she travels to India to witness first-hand the devastating effects of the virus on women and children. In an interview with ABC, she said “It costs $10 per person, educated and protected for an entire year. … It’s very real. And it’s real stories and real heartache and, also, real opportunity to focus on a solution that is very cost-effective and has an extraordinarily meaningful impact in the lives of young people.”
