I love the look of Natalie Portman’s shoe collection. Just wish I could afford some!
I agree with Sush that it would be great to have a pair of 100% eco friendly shoes, but I have to say that avoiding animal cruelty is the most important thing to me, so I am glad she had brought out this range.

While it is great that animals are not being used to make the shoes, I’m not sure I understand how they can be called “green” or eco-friendly when the alternate materials are made with crude oil? Vinyl and plastic are made from crude oil. Using crude oil does harm animals and humans. Polluting the environment during the processing of vinyl and plastics, and adding dyes to them harm animals and humans. And then throwing the products into the landfills eventually will harm all animals and humans. I would be much happier if people went barefoot or just stopped gluttonously loading their closets with way too many pairs of shoes! And this is coming from someone who worked in the garment industry. Sadly, i know what goes into making a pair of shoes. Leather or plastic, it’s definitely not pretty for the environment.

Those shoes are incredibly cute, and they will put the fashionista in all of us at ease! I was never a huge fan of Natalie Portman, but I will start paying more attention to her now that I know she has a conscience and uses her celebrity to help the Earth.

Yes! My wife will love that I’ve found this site! Now I’ll have another place (besides Stella) to purchase gorgeous shoes that were made without any harm to animals.
