Carter Oosterhouse can not only make your kitchen look like Brad Pitt’s, but he can also just as quickly steal your girlfriend. As more male-model carpenters hammer their way onto DIY networks, the ladies are sitting down with the guys to get some great tips on home improvement. Of course, it’s not just good looks that gets Oosterhouse rave reviews – -the guy knows what he’s doing and incorporates a can-do attitude that adds to both the entertainment and educational value of DIY Network’s shows. He’s also into sustainable green building and regularly incorporates some ‘green element’ into his projects. We dig it.

Anyways, check out the video below showing Oosterhouse explaining to a child how (and why) they’re using recycled tires as mulch to pad the ground beneath his treehouse. The clip is part of the program Inside Element.

Please do substitute beef for beans, but also have tofu instead of turkey, carrots instead of chicken, and I think you see where I’m going.

Guys, extortion isn’t an effective form of vegan advocacy

Assuming we can extort people into respecting the lives of others makes no sense.
