I’ve never been a huge Emeril fan, but I’d be interested enough to watch this show. I started to the other night, but had to run away in the first few minutes. I am personally not a vegetarian (please commenters, keep your stone-throwing to a minimum), but I’d like to find out ways to have a more organic diet.

Good for you Emeril. I for one am so glad to see you get off of the FN show. They have become so show business and not what it started out to be. Cooking!!!
If you can change from the pork fat thing and become a Planet Green person I am all for it. It will take some of us who have been so brain washed to change our ways but what I am seeing is very possitive. I for one will comntinue to watch your show. Of course being vegan isn’t going to work for all of us but we can change a lot of our habits for the better. You that are have your choose and we have ours. We can better the planet in other ways also. I am not a vegan or a vegetarian but I can make better choose’s of organic, growing our own veggies and picking our meats with better knowledge. So keep educating all of us that have fallen thru the cracks of the commercials. Char

I would be very skeptical of Emerile’s latest venture. There’s every indication that the lustre has worn off his “bam” persona, and that he is clearly trying to kick it up a notch in his new business opportunities with Martha Stewart and Discovery.

I was on hand for the for several of the initial tapings of “Emerile Green” at the Whole Foods in Fair Lakes, Virginia. Emeril was clearly struggling throughout the daily takes with his newly acquired environmental consciousness. My sense is that he is clumsily trying to climb aboard one “green” bandwagon while trying to salvage his decreasing dollar marketability in the other.

since he owns steak houses with NO organic meat (at least last time i know someone went there) i’m thinking he’s just doing it for the attention. but even if that’s the case and it brings more attention to the cause then it’s stil a good thing. but personally no, i don’t like him one iota.

Well crap. I wanted to have a “green” cooking show on Planet Green, but I guess Emeril has the one up on me. If this show isn’t based around a vegetarian diet, well wouldn’t that be false advertising or something? I mean, we all know that the meat industry causes more global warming than anything else.

The governments: the IPCC is open to all member countries of WMO and UNEP. Governments of participate in plenary Sessions of the IPCC where main decisions about the IPCC workprogramme are taken and reports are accepted, adopted and approved. They also participate the review of IPCC Reports.
The scientists: hundreds of scientists all over the world contribute to the work of the IPCC as authors, contributors and reviewers.
The people: as United Nations body, the IPCC work aims at the promotion of the United Nations human development goals.

PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT THIS ORGANIZATION PUBLISHED THE “INTERGOVERNMENTAL PANEL ON CLIMATE CHANGE – 2007″. IT CLEARLY STATES THAT THERE ARE MORE GREENHOUSE GASSES EMITTED BY FACTORY FARMS RAISING ANIMALS FOR FOOD THAT TLL THE TRANSPORTANTION SECTORS COMBINED. There is also libraries of information on the environmental impact – ground water pollution, energy and land consumption etc – as a result of factoru farming.

if this program wants to be really green this will not be lost in its development.

those who you attract initially will be critical in their thinking about what you present and critical in the shows success. We’ll be watching.
