It’s Earth Hour East Coast. Go Turn Off Some Lights.

Above is a photo of the Melbourne skyline as Australia celebrated Earth Hour earlier today. To do your part, go turn off some lights, strike up the candles, and enjoy a little darkness. More info here. East coast, you’re up right now. Central and West, get ready!

We celebrated Earth Hour by powering down our home (turning off and unplugging all the lights, computer, stereo, TV, printer, coffee maker, etc.) and reading with battery powered book lights.
We spent it stuck at an airport in Orlando. I caught a couple of pictures of cities with some of the lights off–very impressive.
