The current article you are reading does not reflect the views of the current editors and contributors of the new Ecorazzi

On April 22nd people from all around the world will come together to celebrate one of Ecorazzi’s favorite holidays — EARTH DAY!! While Earth Day may not be as recognized as Halloween or Christmas or New Years, each year the “green” holiday becomes more and more popular. So how will you spend your Earth Day?

If you’re the outdoorsy type, you might go camping or head out for a romp on the beach, but if you find yourself stuck in bad weather or just not in the mood to party with Mama Earth, HGTV has produced a line up of shows that is sure to make the dreadlock-wearing, sunflower-picking inner environmentalist in everyone do a great big sun salute!

In the past we’ve applauded HGTV for their green home initiative, but also given them a stern slap on the rist for their SUV-loving ways. Well this Earth Day HGTV just might get back on our good side as they plan an Earth Day line up fullof shows that highlight different ways to embrace a greener way of life, featuring everything from simple, eco-friendly tips and trends to a behind the scenes look at some of the world’s most extreme ‘greenists.’

Visit HGTV’s program guide to check out all the Earth Day listings, but make sure you don’t spend TOO much time pent up in the house…I mean it is called EARTH Day for goodness sakes!
