hboHBO’s NYC Shop has turned a darker shade of green by introducing eco-friendly, low impact products which use either recycled materials or certified organic cotton, low impact dyes, and reduce the use of plastic bags. As expected, the new line is based on HBO’s hit shows like Flight of the Conchords, Sex and the City and Entourage. From the release,

“As an alternative to the billions of plastic bags thrown away each year around the world, the Sex in the City shoe bag is an effort to provide the consumer with earth-friendly, re-usable products. The Sex and the City dry cleaning bag is a re-usable way to transport clothing to and from the dry cleaners. Made of 100% organic cotton, the bag is designed with a drawstring at the bottom to bundle dirty clothes to the laundry, and also functions as a garment bag with a zipper down the front. In step with the fashion and style of Sex and the City, it is also a very chic way to cart around laundry and dry cleaning. One side of the bag features one of Carrie’s notable quotes, “I like my money right where I can see it … hanging in my closet.” The garment/laundry bag retails for $29.99.”

One day, all clothing and accessories will be made from sustainable materials, but for now, it’s great to see more offerings from retailers; especially those that tie in with popular programs. For more info, check out the HBO Store online shop.
