The Green Picture: Bono Gets Into An Electric Tesla Roadster

Rocker Bono was in Monaco last weekend checking out the new electric Tesla Roadster as part of the company’s efforts to introduce its new eco-friendly cars to the European market. For a first person view of the Tesla driving around Monaco, jump here.

Amazing! Bono looks a little lost, doesn’t he? Not that it would necessarily be the case, but since Tesla HQ is in my general area, I can’t wait to see one on our highway!

Tesla is becoming more involved with eco-interests, and is working hard to shift the auto industry’s dependence on oil. In California, Tesla is offering incentives to purchase an electric vehicle, such as access to all carpool lanes, free parking at charging stations at LAX and other airports, no parking meter fees in metropolitan areas, and discount electrical rates for charging and recharging.
