With gas prices soaring ever higher, might now be the time to consider an alternative form of transportation? Brandon Boyd — the lead singer of the rock group Incubus — is hoping so and is placing his beloved Vespa LX150 up on eBay along with an arranged meeting and photo-op. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the auction go to the non-profit organization “Make Yourself Foundation,” which was started by the band-members. The organization exists to raise money for a number of charities the group supports — from environmental to cancer research.
This particular Vespa will get you about 72mpg — which is pretty damn awesome for those looking for something other than a bike to commute on. There’s a little over a day left — but with the price currently only at $3,700 — this is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to a great cause, meet some cool rockers, and help out the environment.
Jump here to bid. To see where the band members stand on the upcoming election — and why they feel its important for YOU to get out there and vote, check out the video after the jump.
