Incubus Lead Singer Throws His Vespa Up On eBay

April 30th 2008

vespaWith gas prices soaring ever higher, might now be the time to consider an alternative form of transportation? Brandon Boyd — the lead singer of the rock group Incubus — is hoping so and is placing his beloved Vespa LX150 up on eBay along with an arranged meeting and photo-op. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the auction go to the non-profit organization “Make Yourself Foundation,” which was started by the band-members. The organization exists to raise money for a number of charities the group supports — from environmental to cancer research.

This particular Vespa will get you about 72mpg — which is pretty damn awesome for those looking for something other than a bike to commute on. There’s a little over a day left — but with the price currently only at $3,700 — this is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to a great cause, meet some cool rockers, and help out the environment.

Jump here to bid. To see where the band members stand on the upcoming election — and why they feel its important for YOU to get out there and vote, check out the video after the jump.
