Pink Teams Up With Australia Animal Organization

The current article you are reading does not reflect the views of the current editors and contributors of the new Ecorazzi

What in the world is going on in Australia this week? First McDonalds tries to go green and now THIS!

Singer/activist Pink recently signed on to become a spokesperson for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) to help raise awareness among pet owners and encourage teenagers to be kinder towards animals down under .

Now Ecorazzi has told you before about Pink’s involvement with PETA and I’m actually a little surprised she’s working in Australia after she very publicly criticized sheep mulesing — a painful method of surgically removing strips of wool-bearing wrinkle skin from around the breech of a sheep — in December 2006. This method is still used in the manufacturing of Australian wool, but will be phased out by 2010.

As part of the promotional shoot Pink posed with a shelter puppy named Princess. A RSPCA spokesman says, “Pink ran out of hair and make-up to have cuddles with the puppy. She let the puppy lick her on her cheeks and sat on the couch and cuddled and spoke to her. It was an awesome sight to see because it was like Pink completely zoned out from what was going on around her.”

Oh Pink, you’re so hardcore and we so love you!

Veld donates money to farm animals and also serves them

Lest we be confused that their giant V logo stands for anything other than Veld.

Trading beef for beans is not a solution, veganism is

Please do substitute beef for beans, but also have tofu instead of turkey, carrots instead of chicken, and I think you see where I’m going.

Guys, extortion isn’t an effective form of vegan advocacy

Assuming we can extort people into respecting the lives of others makes no sense.
