Hey Patrice, as much as we love our title as urban hippies, one of the challenges of being branded any one way is those within the community seem to become both our strongest supporters and toughest critics.

I think you challenging what we do is actually really healthy for the community so people can see that Ecorazzi’s support is not on blind faith and it pushes us to be better people.

We do a lot now and seeing your list, there is always a lot more we can be doing, so thank you for making us aware.

To give you an idea of who we are, here is a quick list: We’ve worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Chicago Cares (that teaches to inner city Chicago students on the weekend), Take Back the Night (against sexual assaults), Avon 2-day Breast Cancer Walk, PADS, as well as a lot of personal choices such as owning a vermiculture bin in a 1 bedroom apt in the city, recycling all the time, and if we need a car we use a non-profit car sharing company instead of owning.

This does not make us “The All American Green Couple” or anywhere near that title as you’ve pointed out, and so we will keep doing our part and appreciate that we are trying to help in our way and thank those who’ve supported us here on Ecorazzi.

Thank you Annie and Tom for pointing out that we are all growing as we try to be more green, and that no matter how far we come, there is still a ways to go.
