Penthouse Pet Of The Year Gives Fur The Cold, Naked Shoulder

Kobe Kaige, the 2007 Penthouse Magazine “Pet of the Year”, is teaming up with PETA for a new anti-fur campaign — featuring, surprisingly, Kaige’s naked bod. Continuing the long tradition of mixing sex with a message, PETA shows the model holding a sign that says “Give Fur The Cold Shoulder” while showing her huddling nude in a snowstorm. How someone finds themselves in this situation in the first place is beyond us. Here’s what Kaige had to say on her blog:
“Animals are skinned ALIVE whilst still conscious in many fur farms, they are starved, totrured and then beaten before their fur is ripped from their bodies. They are then left to die in pain. Animal fur is also often really cats and dogs fur, just re-labeled and sold internationally.
Fur once turned heads, it now turns stomaches. It is a sign of suffering and torture and with so many fake options is just not cool. It is NEVER too late to become an animal activist. I was oblivious to a lot of what happens especially in China for years but NOW I dontate money, support PETA, educate and inform others and stand strong against fur!”

Okay, waking up to have coffee and check my favorite blogs (consider yourself lucky) and this surprised me. Glad to see that Pent House is teaming up with PETA. The girlfriends but me having an affect on Hugh! LOL!
I have never understood the attraction to fur, but this campaign should get some attention.
Yeah, except that she wears leather. What’s the difference? What a hypocrite. IMHO, most of the PETA celebs are.

The difference to me regarding fur and leather is this:
The cow is on a kazillion plates every single day. I feel it would be a waste to not use the entire animal.
But when an animal is specifically bred and tortured or killed for their skins, I think it is very wrong. I don’t see any mink, fox, dog, cat, or seal on american menu’s.
Better late than never… After Bob Guccione was forced to sell Penthouse to pay his debts, the new owner in Boca Raton hired an editor from Esquire to give the magazine a new, softer, perhaps greener look.
One of the first models they picked to represent their new direction, was Rock The Reactors spokesmodel Betcee May, who posed with the tag line, if she had a million dollars, she’d invest in alternative energy.
But Penthouse didn’t keep its promise. Despite the hundreds of green companies who contacted Penthouse to assist them in becoming the first green adult mens magazine, instead of going with the green flow, Penthouse escorted their newly hired Esquire editor out the door under police escort, rather than switch to recycled paper!
It was during that time that Rock The Reactors urged PeTA to enlist March 2007 Penthouse Pet Betcee May to participate in their campaign. Betcee had already participated in PeTA demonstrations against a circus in Minnesota.
But as it turns out, PeTA gets a major portion of their funding from the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, which funds Exelon’s educational program, teaching children that nuclear is clean and green and the solution to global warming.
That’s why PeTA would never protest the slaughter of hogs at David Rockefeller’s organic farm a few miles South from the Indian Point nuclear power plant, even though all farm animals in the region have been tested positive for strontium-90.
She is hot!
