Plan On Visiting Adrian Grenier’s Home? Bring A Flashlight…

June 9th 2008

Back in March, the world celebrated Earth Hour by turning off lights all around the globe for sixty minutes. Actor Adrian Grenier, however, recreates such activism anytime he has friends over.

“We turn of all the electricity in the house and go off grid. We enjoy each other’s company without distractions from the radio or cellphones,” he recently mentioned. According to the source, Grenier does it because he believes its the best way for him to conserve energy. We also think he wants to get the most out of those solar panels on his Brooklyn roof.

When asked if the set of his hit HBO show Entourage might see some greening, Adrian said, “I will make sure of it… (But) not everyone wants to embrace being environmentally friendly.”

Good luck — and tell Vince to drop the Hummer.

  1. That actually sounds like a really great idea. Some of the best fun I’ve had with my family has been after a hurricane when we had no electricity for months. I’ll qualify that by saying I’m originally from the Virgin Islands, so it’s not unusual to lose power after a hurricane and be without it for months at a time, so we were prepared for it — cooking on a camping stove, catching rainwater in barrels and our sistern, etc. I’m sure it would take some getting used to now that I am acclimated to air conditioning in the hot Georgia summers, but it’s a cool idea to consider. Now if only I had some solar panels….

  2. “set of his hit HBO show Entourage might see some greening” … one way to do this would be to institute an all-green make-up policy on set. If all the actors asked for it, the make-up artists would have to oblige. We’re here to help:
