I heard this a.m. that some of the zillions WOULD be left for “dogs” – in general. I deeply hope this money would be distributed to the needy animal shelters and rescue organizations who struggle to give abandoned, neglected, sick and injured, discarded dogs a chance for life. Has anyone else heard a factual account of this news? Thanks -

Since when does it cost that much to have a dog????? We have had a Maine Coon Cat for a couple of years. He gets organic food, the vet comes to the house, we built an outdoor summer area for him and I figure in that amount of time we have only spent about $2000. $190,000 a year. Give me a break. Kitty is a spoiled cat and knows it. By the way he was a shelter cat from a “No Kill” shelter. That is just ridiculous.
