Yea, I have a slight obbession with this vehicle. The cool-factor is definitely an influence, but even more promising is the thought that there will be soon even more electric vehicles on the road. I want this technology, along with other advances like fuel cells, to trickle down and start chipping away at our gasoline habits.

As we reported earlier this month, Matt Damon was spotted taking a Tesla Roadster out for a spin — and, according to Autobloggreen, recently snapped up a “Signature Series Slot” to snag one of the first 100 produced vehicles.

Of course, the biggest question since Tesla announced production of the vehicle is when everyone would be receiving their cars. Now, Weblogs, INC. co-founder Jason Calacanis (who is #16 in line) is saying that he should be getting his in 4-6 weeks.

In other words, spy shots of famous folks driving the emission-free sportscar should start rolling in soon. I know you could probably care less, but I’ve been looking forward to additional promotion of this tech for a long time. Not to mention a test drive.
