For the life of me, I suck at remembering to bring reusable bags with me to the supermarket. Julia Roberts, on the other hand, has no such difficulties — and rocked out with a number of “Organics” bags while shopping at a supermarket in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Want your own reusable bag? Don’t forget — we’re giving away two here!

I’m absolutely horrible at remembeing to bring them to the store! I even stuck some in my trunk and left them there.
I’ve committed myself to no more plastic bags at the store, so instead I now just buy additional bags as they’re normally at the check out. I then take all the extras I end up with and “donate” them to friends, co-workers, or neighbors who can’t afford to spend the extra on them or wouldn’t think of even buying them in the first place.
It might cost me a little extra, but it saves me from setting more plastic bags loose on the world, but saves all the ones from my bag-recipients as well.
If you can, put your reusable bags in the front seat of the car.
It’s so easy – you just need to make a personal committment to do it! Keep them in your trunnk and if you forget them, just take the groceries without being bagged and bag them at your car – not a big deal and I promise, after that has happened a couple of times you will start remembering. I have also set the basket aside, run out to get the bags and then checked out. Think of not using one as being like littering – something you would NEVER do. Just shift your mind set. Also, keep a Chico Bag in your handbag – they fold up into themselves and are always handy to use when you are in any other type of store making a purchase. Once you have shifted your perception to making that committment you just won’t even consider taking a bag with a purchase!
I’m guessing Trader Joe’s?
love the ChicoBag(got mine at shoporganic.com)! i keep two in my purse at all times, they barely weigh anything, don’t take up much space and i can use them for not just grocery shopping but any kind of shopping.
The bags are from Safeway
