What is wrong with these people? I seriously cannot believe the despicable depths these right-wing pundits will stoop to to knock people. If the usual routes are blocked or overplayed, they simply come up with some other random way to drive their ridiculous points across.

We’ve seen Al Gore blamed for high food and oil prices — but this latest approach by Glenn Beck is just revolting. Check out the below video as Beck for more than two minutes passionately tells the inspirational story of a holocaust survivor and her incredible work to help others. Then, watch incredulously as he ties all of this into one giant slam of Al Gore.

Irena, we’re sorry someone like Beck used your story to push an agenda. In all honesty, your work is more the type I’d like to see rewarded with the Nobel Peace Prize — but such could be said for many that have been nominated. The way Beck tells your story — and then demeans Gore for having the audacity to be nominated and win — just isn’t right.

This wasn’t as much of a slam on Al Gore as it was the agenda of the greens…Honestly do you think Al Gore deserves the Nobel Peace prize over what this lady did? She risked her life to save kids from dying at the hands of the Nazis…Al Gore is an elitist who flies on private jets and lives in Mansions and eats meat…

  • Libertarian 12

If Al Gore had any class he would have put his ego aside and walked away and let someone who actually had courage get the recognition. The media will continue to blow sunshine up his ass for years to come; even after this slight warming trend which plateaued in 98 and will soon resume its natural decline ends and he starts his “coming ice age” rhetoric.

No-one seems to be aware that the 2007 Peace Prize was shared. Al Gore wasn’t nominated “for a slide show” but for 20 years of environmental work. And the International Panel on Climate Change was nominated for its members’ work in collating scientists’ research on climate change, something important to us all.

No-one has mentioned Zegota – the clandestine Polish society formed to save Jewish people from the Nazis. Irena Sendler was the head of their Warsaw children’s section. She was a wonderful person, but she had many colleagues and friends who worked with her. They deserve remembering too.

I didn’t hear any spin coming from Glenn on this regarding the green movement. Since Al gore actually won and Irena Sendler did not, that’s observation based on factual events. I think it’s more a commentary on the state of our society.

  • Josh

I think he did a very good job of telling her story. And the so called ‘slam’ on Al Gore wasn’t really slamming him, more so the people who picked him over her. I think it’s a valid point.

Besides if it was really THAT bad more people would care about what he said besides you.

Judging by these comments, it sounds like this website is the one pushing the agenda!
Keep up the great work, Glenn!

Nah, Beck really is an asshole. It’s completely a slam. Especially when he says “Al Gore won for a slideshow”.

  • Libertarian 12

Well that’s true. It wasn’t a slideshow, it was a “documentary” filled with gross exaggeration’s and lies. But hey, when there’s fear to monger, Why let the facts get in the way.

Al Gore is an idiot. Yeah right, he invented the internet and has a so-called green house. Give me a break. Irena did more for humanity than Gore has done for the environment. Look at his track record for energy consumption is.

  • Doc

Al Gore made no sacrifices for his ‘prize’. In fact, he PROFITED from his global warming panic mongering. A man of character, with nothing more than a biased slideshow, would have stepped aside in recognition of a far superior human being that put her life on the line.

First Off, The Nominees Of The Nobel Peace Prize Are Kept A Secret For 50 Years… Second, Irena Sendler Was Not Eligible For The Nobel Peace Prize In 2007… She Didn’t Meet The Requirements… This Is Not To Take Anything Away From The Heroic Efforts Of Irena Sendler To Save As Many Children As She Could From The Nazi Death Camps… She Was A Great Woman And Her Story Is A Great Story… Al Gore Is Simply Not Part Of It… To Try And Politicize Irena’s Story Does A Great Disservice Not Only To Her Memory, But To The Memories Of All Those She Helped To Survive…

Just My Opinion… What The Hell Do I Know?
