Will Brad And Angelina Allow A Boar Hunt On Their French Estate?

July 1st 2008

Below the roar of the gossip rags that Angelina Jolie may have really given birth today (pinkie swear!) in France, a small, interesting story on cultural traditions and the Jolie-Pitt estate is making the rounds.

Apparently, the estate grounds that the pair are renting from American millionaire Tom Bove is a crucial piece of an annual boar hunt from August 15th to the 30th. Many people in the village’s hunting society were worried that the presence of the celebrities would derail their plans. According to the UK Telegraph, however, the president of the organization says they’ve recevied nothing but encouragement regarding the tradition.

Chances are, this one is going to play out just like it has every year on the estate for many years. I wouldn’t be surprised however if a.) PETA draws attention to this decision and b.) if fears of paparazzi posing as hunters looking to bag some twins instead of a boar causes them to restrict access.

Stay tuned — and boars, I’d just leave town.

  1. well, its not very nice to hunt the boars, however, they are truly free range and this is not factory farming they are taking part in. so peta shouldn’t gripe too much.
