Happy Birthday, Ringo! A few weeks ago Ecorazzi reported that Ringo Starr wanted his birthday to officially be known as “Peace and Love Day.” Furthermore, he asked all of his fans to shout ‘Peace and love’ at noon on his special day to show their support. Well today’s the day, kids!

Explaining his decision, Ringo said: “I’m a product of the 60s and it was a very influential period in my life, and you know, my head was turned around a bit, my eyes were opened as it were. In fact, I even have it on my arm, ‘Peace and love’. I see nothing wrong with peace and love.”

And neither do we! So don’t forget, in just a few hours (depending on where you live), stand up and shout “Peace and love” at the top of your voice! Come on…do it for Ringo.

Prisons profit from exploiting life and labour

Most young workers don’t want anything to do with manual labour jobs in meat and dairy, and as a result, a large majority of agricultural workers are marginalized people

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
