It looks like Lauren Conrad wasn’t the only one attending animal-friendly events this past week! Rumer Willis (as in the child of Demi and Bruce) joined NBA reporter Joumana Kidd and former America’s Next Top Model contestant CariDee English at the Power of Paws launch party yesterday in NYC.

Power of Paws is a new initiative that educates people about the mutual health benefits of interacting with pets. Their program is intended to give people new reasons and ways to to build and strengthen the bond with their pets for better mental, emotional and physical health.

I recently took a trip to their website, and while I was excited to see this kind of program, I couldn’t help but notice about 16 trillion corporate sponsors. While I recognize that these days corporate sponsors are a necessity for most companies, I just hope the man doesn’t try and ruin everything. Know what I’m saying?

Anyway, go to PowerOfPaws.com and tell me what you think.
