Emulating The Olsen Twins May Cause More Than Dirty Looks
What's that smell?

Besides drawing the ire of animal-friendly organizations everywhere, the Olsen Twins may now also be causing human cells to rage against the machine.
According to the Environmental Working Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment, the Olsen twins have licensed their names to fragrance products deemed “high hazards” on the group’s newly release safety list. Out of the 8 fragrances listed, 5 are described as “high hazards”, with the others in the moderate range. The comsmetics are volatile to humans because of their dense concentration of hamful cancer-causing carcinogens.
Didn’t the Joker try something like this in the first Batman movie?
Perez shed some additional light on the issue saying,
“Did you know that the unfortunate reality is that the government does not currently require health studies or pre-market testing for products before they are sold? According to the FDA’s Office of Cosmetics and Colors, the “FDA cannot require companies to do safety testing of their cosmetic products before manufacturing,” AND “…a cosmetic manufacturer may use almost any raw material as a cosmetic ingredient and market the product without an approval from FDA.”
Perhaps all of those celebrities going with their natural smell are on to something…

Niiice…because everyone needs more carcinogens in their life, right? I keep a list of TRULY organic and safe cosmetics and beauty products in my purse because it’s a lot shorter than the list of the ones that aren’t safe. Makes my life a whole lot easier.

I often think of my grandmother who has survived breast cancer twice. We would sit around her house during the holidays and speculate, since there wasn’t a family history of the cancer. Our speculation was that the cancer came from environmental agents. It terrifies me that the FDA does not regulate cosmetic ingredients. The Swiss government has very strict regulations. I started purchasing products they are pure, safe, and the results are amazing. They are made from botanical ingredients. I love my arbonne products, but don’t take my work for it. I highly recommend you research your cosmetics. EWG has cosmeticdatabase.com. You can look up your cosmetics and see how hazardous they are. My CG blush was a 9. My health is too important.
