[...] But that hasn’t stopped the government from surveilling, harassing and demonizing legal activists. In fact, this State Department briefing includes a flier for the Animal Rights 2006 National Conference, a mainstream event with hundreds of attendees where I spoke about the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act. This year, among the “terrorists” in attendance was Heather Mills. [...]

I will never even consider giving money to any organization that she is involved with. What's more, that organization will lose all credibility with me. The evidence, including her own public behavior and statements, that she is not a good person is simply overwhelming.

If she wants to convince people that she really is a good person, she needs to stay out of the spotlight for a few years and work at actually becoming a good person. Otherwise, it's just more lies and spin and PR. But that's the problem. She can't bear being out of the spotlight. She seems to have an insatiable need for attention and acclaim. I have no doubt that is what is driving her efforts in animal rights.

It's sad when reputable organisations feel they have to link their names with someone like her. I'd be interested to know how much they're paying her to go along.

she did not start becoming an advocate for animals until after she was married to Paul. So if you think her work deserves merit, it's Paul McCartney you should thank with an award. He and his family for decades have tried to protect animals. Ms. Mills, only for a few years. How does she deserve an award. This must be an insult to many that actually devote much of their lives to this cause. A cause is only as good as the people who represent it.

Parrish - Don't be fooled by her being nice to you for a few minutes. Anyone can be nice that long, especially if they are the center of attention. That is what her real "charity" is - herself getting attention. It was not that long ago that she said on Larry King that she no longer accepted awards - she made sure they went to others. Another lie perhaps? Her behavior when the spotlight is not on her is more important to me and speaks volumes about her. She is a fraud and a liar according to the judge's findings. Her behavior towards people is disgusting. If she is caught in a lie (which is sadly very often) she attacks others and tries to smear them with more lies. That is not a good person. She is only doing this "I love animals" act becasue it is the only place she can currently get attention. Having her be part of a charity is my first indication that my money would be of better use elsewhere.
May I ask, are her expenses being paid for her to attend this function?
