The Green Quote: Pamela Anderson Thanks NYC Councilmember Tony Avella

August 3rd 2008

“Dear Tony,I’m in New York this week, and although I dread seeing the carriage horses being forced to work in the summer heat, I’m thrilled that you’ve introduced a bill to ban this cruel old trade. I hope you’re successful in getting New York to join Toronto, Paris, and Beijing in getting horse-drawn carriages off the streets. Good luck and best wishes from me and all your pals at PETA!

Pamela Anderson”

- Pamela’s letter to Councilmember Tony Avella for sponsoring a bill that would ban horse-drawn carriages in New York City. If you’d like to sign a petition to help end this cruel practice, visit getactive.peta.org.

  1. again this woman proves herself to be a brainy blonde. never thought i’d say that about pam anderson but the last several years i have.

i think all can agree (especially if they’ve seen documentary http://www.blindersthemovie.com) that this has just got to stop. The horses never see a pasture. They live in concrete buildings in the city. It must be stopped. I’d kiss Tony Avella if I saw him. (and Pam too ;)

  2. What madness. We need more horses and less cars on the road. What is this dumb blonde on about. For a female that wants to pump her tits up with silicon, she had no environmental credibility.

  3. Surely Pam must know that thousands of animals died so that she could have breast implants, as manufacturers and pharmaceutical firms experimented on them for the past 3 decades and continue to do so.
With all these Hollywood morons, its do as I say, not as I do.
