Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Ballpark Named Most Vegetarian-Friendly By PETA!!

I’m not really a baseball guy…shocking I know! And while that might not be a problem in any other city, I get a lot of peer pressure from my neighbors here in NYC to favor either the Yankees or the Mets…or really any team at all (except for the Sox, of course). Well good news baseball fans — I have finally picked my team.
For the second consecutive year, the menu at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Ballpark has been crowned the most vegetarian-friendly by PETA. Last year the faux Philly cheesesteak helped land the Phillies’ ballpark in first place and this year they’ve stepped up their game by adding meat-free subs and wraps, veggie dogs and burgers and even crab-free crab cakes and a mock chicken sandwiches. Take me out to the frigin ball game why don’t you?!!!
Coming in second place was San Francisco’s AT&T Park which is home of the Giants and features a portobello mushroom sandwich, vegetarian sushi, and the vegetarian cha cha bowl, which is filled with black beans, rice, and pineapple salsa. Better luck next year Giants!
And so, because the Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Ballpark is so willing to support my people, I am more than happy to support THEIR people. That’s right, buy me a Jersey and get me a crab-free crab cake…I’m officially a Phillies fan!

Go Philly! A meat-free Schmitter would be a phenominal next step.
