This is one party that I would sooo love to attend. Hosted by Andrew Keegan, Humanitaire will be benefiting Global Green USA, a nonprofit that works to create a sustainable planet. Global Green will be getting 100% of the ticket sales. But not only is Humanitaire for a green cause–it’s actually a green event itself.
On August 29 this mean green scene will include a green carpet made by bio cell technologies, a grassroots garden for green sponsors, a green gallery of local artists, and services to promote eco-friendly awareness to event goers. Even the “Battle of the DJ’s” at the event will be run on bio-diesel generators. Sounds like a standard the Academy should adopt to me.
“It’s such a necessity for every individual to take responsibility for what surrounds them. I’m proud to be involved with a project that brings so much environmental consciousness,” says Keegan. Word, Andrew.
To get in on this green charity event, click here. VIP folks even get organic beer and and a vegan/vegetarian buffet! You can’t beat that.
VIP guests can arrive at 7:00 p.m. for a pre-party and an hour of free organic beer. In addition, VIP guests will be offered a vegan/vegetarian buffet.
[Editor's note: This is a great, green event -- but listing a "flat of Fiji bottled water" as an eco-friendly prize in their press release has me laughing. Who organized this and thought that would be considered eco-friendly?]
