We know the plot of the next James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, revolves around an evil eco-entrepreneur and his badass greenwashing — but even more impressive is the placement of a fuel-efficient vehicle next to the standard Aston Martin. We talked earlier this year about Ford’s more than $40 million investment in the series to show off their cars — and we’re happy to see them give screen time to the smaller, eco-friendly models.
We’re not about to say that Bond won’t be driving one, but new information points to his leading lady, Camille (played by actress Olga Kurylenko) getting behind the wheel of a Ford Ka for the film. From the release,
The ‘Quantum of Solace’ Ka is unique with metallic gold paint and an exclusive exterior graphics and interior trim combination. “The new Ka is the perfect match for the character of Camille – adventurous, individual and thoroughly modern,” says Ford of Europe’s Chief Operating Officer, Stephen Odell. “We are delighted that the launch of the film coincides with the launch of such a significant new model for Ford of Europe.”
Check out some pics of the new Ka on set of Quantum of Solace below. The film opens in the US on November 7th.
