2010 Electric Chevy Volt Set To Star In Transformers Sequel!

Spies scoping out photos from the latest Transformers sequel, Revenge of the Fallen, have spotted what appears to be a production Chevy Volt on set! This is big news — not only because GM has a lot rolling on this electric hope — but also since the sheet wasn’t supposed to be pulled off the final model of the car until later this year.
Not only did AutoBlogGreen do some photo comparison of some Volt characteristics already leaked to the public, but a video from the movie set also surfaced showing “Volt” badges on the car and confirming earlier suspicions.
The car itself looks really nice — with a a full fiberglass top that extends the length of the vehicle. As we mentioned in our green car preview, the Volt is expected to have a range of about 40 miles on electric power alone and over 350 miles with it’s on-board small gasoline range-extender.
Commentators are confirming that the Volt appears to be one of the good guys in the film (with GM vehicles getting the Autobot label and other non-brands going Decepticon).

that’s awesome to see some green love in an upcoming movie. i hope it drives sales of the volt when it comes out…and i can’t wait to see what price tag is on it.
Chev be warned! I want hemp fiber light weight components and advanced polymer composites in my Volt to reduce weight and make a stronger car! I want lithium batteries and a plug in system too, I definitely do not want a stripped Chevelle with a electric motor! Get rid of the heavy steel body, and start thinking carbon fiber if you think you are going to compete with the Brits! The Chinese are watching, and they won’t burden us with 1930’s mech tech bodies for certain! Your stock is worth little, your current product line is not selling! Smarten up, build cars for the 21st century or get out of the way for those who will!
The Chevy Volt! Production style!
Uncle B your an idiot if you think an economy car is geting carbon fiber parts anywhere, when you can do plastic and aluminum for far cheaper and be just as strong and longer lasting. If GM prices this under $20k then it will be a hit, but its suppose to be an economy car for the masses of hippies, not another overengineered over priced and unreliable import!
