Giveaway: Eco-Friendly, Farm-Made, Skin Care Line From Chivas

After a brief break from our giveaway celebration in honor of Labor Day, we’re back with a great gift pack from Chivas Skin Care.
The great thing about these products is that they aren’t made in any laboratory. It’s created on a small farm, about one hour outside of Los Angeles. They use fresh goat milk, as well as herbs from their garden, pure Essential Oils, Fair Trade Shea Butter and other high-quality Vegetable Oils, to create nourishing, moisturizing and gentle bars of soap. I am de-producting my bathroom and just trying to use soap in place of shampoo, body-washes and shave gel. Need all the organic soap I can get! This looks top of the line!
Goat boob milk on my skin, I don’t think so! Check out girliegirlarmy.com for fantastic lists of vegan skin products that aren’t forcing animals into (albeit gentle) servitude for a face soap. Herbs and oils do this vegan gal just fine!

I love goat-milk based soap. When I put it on my skin, it feels so smooth and smells really good. Its nice that they are farm-made.

Fair trade, organic, made in the usa, on a small farm and made with goats milk sounds like a great product!

I have never tried goat’s milk soap… the scents sound wonderful though. No animal testing too…bonus!

Non-industrial farms that maintain biodiversity with a variety of crops and animals should be celebrated. There are too few of them left in the world. As a society, we need to recognize that agriculture is an important part of our heritage. We too often forget that although most of the population now lives in urban areas most of the work done in the world is still a derivative of feeding and nourishing ourselves. Outsourcing it to a few industrial farms and then adding value through complex processing and packaging is not sustainable. Farms like Chivas represent part of the opportunity to make farming sexy, which is the only way we will ever value the importance of our connection to the land.
I would _love_ these products because they’re very portable, and I don’t have access to much here in western China besides super-processed polymer hygiene products. (PS your “complete rules” link is broken, so I don’t know if I can live in China and still win …)

I am interested in the sweet nothings lip balm the most because it’s vegan and I truly appreciate that.

Having recently changed to a greener lifestyle, these eco-friendly all natural humane are just the thing to help recruit some friends. Will have to buy some on my own.
But free stuff is always a bonus!

I love guiltless self-indulgence! This would be perfect for unwinding after work.
I have always believed in the beauty power of milk. When I was young my mom used to rub fresh milk cream on our faces during the weekends. Though I hated the smell as a girl…I have come to belive in it as a great moisturizer and skin brightener. Offlate my skin has been dull n have no healthy shine to it. Hopefully this wonderful milk product with essential oils and herbs can revive it!
