We’ve yet another delicious gift pack for you today, this time from the fine folks over at VegNews. Since 2000, this magazine has been making waves in the vegetarian/vegan community as the primo source for the latest in living a compassionate and healthy lifestyle. You don’t even have to be a member of the veg crowd to enjoy everything their publication has to offer — though we’re pretty sure you’ll be inspired after one read to give it a go!

Today, we’ve got two VegNews “Oh My, I Want One!” gift packs to give away. Each one includes their signature over-sized tote bag, a one-year subscription, six jumbo vegan cookies, a cotton tee, and the current edition.

You like? Tell us why you love being a vegetarian/vegan — or if you’ve not yet fully transitioned yet to the other side, what you’re doing in your own life to eat healthy and cut meat from your diet. Two comments will be selected to win! Complete rules and giveaway details are available here.

Also, don’t forget! The giveaway for the Clif Bar gift packs is still happening! Enter to win here!

  1. I love being Vegan because it opened up whole new worlds for me.

It opened up new worlds of taste and food experiences! I never realized what a boring and narrow diet I ate when I was an omni. Once I went veg I was “forced” to try new things, cook at home more, try new cooking techniques….and let’s not forget the most IMPORTANT food experience, VEGAN CUPCAKES! I love sharing these new things with my omni friends and family, and showing them that Vegetarian/Vegan is not scary nor bland!

It opened up new worlds in compassion as well. I always loved animals and always have been against animal testing, fur and all that…but I was still eating animals. I didn’t see the connection. And I switched my diet originally because of health, but all the knowledge came flooding in and I can never look back. First I was content being a vegetarian and didn’t see a problem with milk and eggs. Through education and reading I quickly learned that not only was it not HEALTHY, it was not at all ethical either and I have been Vegan ever since.

These are just two of the great new experiences, friends, lessons and activates that this lifestyle change has made in me. I have been an AVID reader of VEGNEWS since I made my change 4 years ago. This year money has been really tight, so I haven’t been able to subscribe so this would be SO FRIKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

If I win….I will share my cookies with you!!! Or bake you some vegan cupcakes ;) I swear it.

  2. I deserve to win because I spend a lot of time around people who are decidedly NOT veg and the things in your goodie basket will be more tools for me to spread the word to them. While on the face of it, most of them are happily — even proudly — carnivorous, those same people will approach me privately to ask which brand of soy milk I like, which veggies they should pay extra to get organic, and that sort of thing. You might say that I’m their “Deep Throat.” :-)

  3. Oh please, pretty please, with sugar (organic evaporated cane juice only) on top, I would LOVE to have this prize pack! My subscription is expired and this gift pack would be a blessing to my ever-tight student budget. I’m a law student (and secretary of the Animal Law Society!) and I would LOVE to tote this gear, read the magazines, and share my cookies!

  4. I was born and raised vegetarian and now eat some meat, but I love getting back to veggie recipes….reminds me of childhood. IO would really love these because I love cooking too ;)
