I follow both candidates…and to be honest – McCain/Palin SCARES THE HELL OF ME! I listened to McCain/republicans push the point that McCain is a war hero because he was shot down and captured by the enemy. Now, it lead me to ask the following questions; How does one become a war hero by having ones plane shot down, being captured, and then released [not escaped]by the enemy? If that makes one a war hero, then it surely doesn’t speak well for soldiers of the kind.

McCain and Palin appears so unsure, so naive, so dishonest. Unlike most people, I do my own investigation on their [both candidates]adds – and I must say, whilst both have some degree of dishonesty with their adds – I find that McCain is most dishonest…and that scares the hell out of me! Palin?…hmm, for start, her voice annoys the hell out of me. Now that is not why I’m not won over by her. Truth be told, what McCain and the republicans has done by selecting her confirms to me that republicans really don’t like women rights, and really don’t respect women per se. It is but a piece of effrontery to think that women would vote for McCain simply because of a women as his running mate. this is simply an insult to women’s intelligence. And doesn’t McCain’s record show that he doesn’t believe in equal pay for women? That is myopic thinking in my view; analoguos to a racist!

i am voting on issues, ot colour, not whether I like the man or not, not because of my political affiliation, not what some reporters on CNN, NBC, ABC or any other TV or radio station says – but simply on the issues.

Yes, Sarah Palin supports hunting wolves from planes– why? Because the wolf population is Large- and the wolves are killing excessive number of caribou and moose- and thusly endangering those popluations. Hunting from planes is only done to control populations. It is against the law to do this for sport only.

She is not doing these things in a hurtful manner- she’s doing them with reasons to protect other species– kind of looking out for the big picture.

So many of these reports online are just half truths or partial information- taken out of context.

I don’t want to get into debate about her- all I had said at the very beginning was – can’t this be left as a site to discuss our green views and information- but instead it has degraded into a political ranting site. It is unfortunate. As both sides have their positives and negatives.

Obama is not the perfect candidate as many would believe. Dig deeper into both sides and learn more.

Way to go Matt Damon, he’s right, more people should speak up about this insanity.

What most of us hate is someone who wants to shoot wolves from a plane for fun… who wants to remove polar bears and beluga whales from the endangered species list so they can be hunted, who wants to drill everywhere she can, who wants schools to teach creationism (which by the way goes against everything science stands for), who doesn’t want women to have the free choice to abort (even when raped!), who is homophobic … I could go on indefinitely…

And no one says democrats are perfect or that republicans are evil, even though those who support the 2 evil soul mates ‘maccalin’, are for sure… or are, to say the least, not the smartest tools in the shed…

And if you are what you claim to be – leader of a green movement – you should be 100% against palin… otherwise I am sorry (and this is my opinion), you are a hypocrite… It’s like I say I am a vegetarian and then go and have a cheeseburger! Either you are true to yourself and honour your ideals and do everything to defend them or you’re a fake! It’s your choice (something palin doesn’t like very much)…

Please do not come here and state we wrote something we didn’t, ok?

Actually the only insulting comments I’ve seen in this site come from palin supporters…

We have reasons to ‘insult’ palin and we explain why! It’s you palin supporters who come here and insult us just because we don’t have the same opinion about her as you do!

And no sharon, the European countries don’t have the imperialistic aspirations the USA has had during bush/cheney, ok?

Please inform yourself better next time and actually read the comments and its reasons before you start accusing others…
