Rapper Will.I.Am of Black Eyed Peas fame performed a new activist song this morning at special event hosted by Oxfam at UN headquarters in NYC. The work, called “In My Name”, is meant to call attention to an important UN discussion taking place that will determine the global progress made toward achieving the Millennium Development Goals.

Joining Oxfam International is Comic Relief and Save the Children — who together have brought more than 30 celebrities from around the world together to join activists of the Global Call to Action Against Poverty.
