I’m not sure about you, but I have some clothing that I can’t throw away — just because it reminds me of some event in the past. And so, everytime I go to clean out my closet, I invariably end up with a pile of memories that I return to the drawers. With my first kid on the way, I imagine that this emotional invetment in threads will just grow worse.     So cute! I really like the tote bags they have on their website. My husband and I found a lady a few years back to make a quilt out of my brother-in-laws clothes, who was killed in Iraq to give to his mom for mother’s day. It turned out beautifully, and is a great memory of him.

    AMAZING! What a great way to reuse some favorite items. I try to pass my kids clothing on to someone who could use them, however, there are a couple items that are especially dear to my heart that I seem unable to part with. Such as a shirt my son refused to take off, we would sneak it off while he slept so I could wash it. He insisted on wearing it even when it started to get really difficult to pull over his head.

    Awesome! My great, great grandmother, great grandmother, and grandmother all made these cool little girl quilts that included pieces of all their favorite clothing. One of the quilts was passed down to me! I’d love to have the same thing done with some of my children’s favorite outfits!

    I took my son’s clothes to a resale shop and they only wanted to give me $50 for a ton of stuff that I was just way too attched to. I told them to box them back up and brought them back home to my basement. What a great idea!

    I love the idea of this. I would love to try to make one myself, but I have no skills in sewing…or a sewing machine. I have so many adorable clothes from my two kids, but I just cant bring myself to sell them or give them away. I would love to be able to have an awesome keepsake like this!     The blanket reminds me of a grad. gift I received in 1973.My friends mother took all the fabric left from clothing my mom had made me and put together a quilt I still treasure today.
