Mariah Carey is partnering with the World Hunger Relief Program for a new campaign called “From Hunger To Hope“. The organization, which benefits the United Nations World Food Programme, works to feed millions of children and promote initiatives that work to end world hunger. Carey posted a brief article of support on her official blog:

Dear lambs,

I am so grateful for my life and for everything that I have. Over the years I have been passionate about helping those who are less fortunate, especially children in need.

It is shocking that 850 million people face hunger every day. But it pains me even more to know that every six seconds, somewhere in the world, a child dies of hunger. This is unacceptable. Let us commit ourselves today to make a difference and help end hunger around the world.
