Anti-Palin Wolf Ad Gaining Traction In Swing States

October 1st 2008

We’ve profiled Sarah Palin’s distrubing wildlife policies before on the razz, but we give credit to the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund for truly delivering the message to voters. Below is an ad that has been circulating the past couple weeks and gaining visibility in swing states such as Florida, Michigan, Ohio and Northern Virginia.

The ad has garnered the org more than $1 million dollars — with $600,000 of it coming in the first six hours of its release. Have a look below — and be sure to inform others on this cruelty.

  1. How could anyone do that to an animal? I understand hunting for food. But how is this any different from those people who torture kittens?

  2. That honestly made me a little nauseous. Admittedly I’ve a cold at the moment, but still – EW!

  3. I proudly wear my Defenders of Wildlife coat and my little eco bag I got for giving them money to run this ad. I only wish I were richer right now because if I could I’d give them a million dollars to run these ads. All day every day.

In the words of Vegan Pamela Anderson; Sarah Palin can SUCK it!

  4. Sarah Palin is so disgusting. I can’t stand the way that dumb thing sounds when she speak.

  5. Ahh… if only more states allowed the aerial hunting of environmental activists! What a lovely country this would be….

  6. Well, “save the wolf” has a wonderful, humanitarian ring to it, but before you jump on the bandwagon, you should take the time to get to know the facts…

Further, I would trust Sarah Palin to run our country over NObama any day of the week!

  7. Wolf hunting, seriously? The woman is probably the worst VP candidate in the US history and they managed to pick the one policy of hers that actually makes sense. What a waste of money.

  8. The truth about palin accordingly to real Alaskans:

By the way, can anyone explain to me what the hell are people who eat meat and who are not environmentalists doing posting comments on Ecorazzi?

Are they so stupid that they still haven’t figured out they are on the wrong site and are not welcome here?

One thing is people who contribute with valid arguments and who are trying to understand the other side, another completely different thing is people who have their minds already made up, who are completely closed to new ideas and who come to this specific site only to insult people! Get the f*** off!

If you believe humans are superior to animals, if you think global warming and extinction of species is a natural thing and man has nothing to do with it, if you love your steak, if you think animals are pests which need to be controlled by humans (who are the real plague on the planet by the way) and if you like to wear fur…hello!!!! You’re in the wrong place…Go back to your little cave in your little pathetic make-believe world! Do not come here again…!!!

I appeal to all of those who care for animals and for the environment to just ignore them!

Hopefully they will eventually go away!! ;)

  9. Cid, I don’t think you are in a position to decide who can and who cannot comment on the stories here. If you want to close your mind and don’t want to be exposed to view points and arguments counter to your own I suggest you find a site without an open comment system.

  10. I agree with Cid, although maybe not in as many words. I’m a meat eater (in moderation, sorry!) and a lifelong environmentalist. Snide commentarists from the other side of the fence have never had anything positive to offer civilized debate about green issues which are of growing concern, and are at best time-wasters. At worst they are a lot more than that.

Next comment from the snides? “Another mixed-up greenie! Calls himself an environementalist and he eats meat and drives a car!”

Yeah, exactly. I wouldn’t expect you to understand, and that is why you are time-wasters.

  11. Someone tell me how wolf hunting–and from an airplane–makes sense. Oh, is it that they compete for caribou some humans eat? Is that it? Some animals must be killed because they’re competition for other animals you want to kill? That’s some serious fercockta stuff.

  12. Interesting matthew – I think it would be sporting to encourage the heli-hunting of hunters! Good times!!!

  13. you go cid tell them like it is if you kill animals for any reason you suck and should and will go to hell and then back to this planet and you will take birth as your favorite meats birth after birth until your paid for all your karma you created by making all those animals suffer

  14. Erika R you are a USDA grade AAA IDIOT! Elk are one of the wolves natural prey. Wolves can’t go to the store and buy steaks like you!

I guess you think it is ok for people like you and Palin to decide on what lives and dies?

Who made you people GOD ANYWAY?

Someone should put you on a ice flow with a few polar bears and NO guns. You would get respect for wildlife real quick!

  15. Wow. Thats all I have to say. I was already heavily opposed to Palin – ugh, I hate even mentioning the name – and this just gives even more evidence to what seems to me as an obvious fact – Sarah Palin is a horrible,LIEING , brutal, murderous, anti-environmental ‘person’ who does not, in any way, deserve to become vice president. We’ve all seen what she’s done to Alaska, and we’ve all heard what she wants to do. Promoting oil-drilling and SLAUGHTER in the last natural place left that humans, the scum of the earth, haven’t completely screwed up yet. I agree with cdc. Who gave her the right to BE GOD? Who gave her the right to take away lives, to put herself above animals? The the so called ‘proof’ that the slaughtering of wolves is ‘good’? Useless lies. It’s all the result of hunters simply not wanting to share the wildlife that isn’t theirs to take. Want to know WHY the elk population is going down? Hunters, flocking there from every state(who come to bask in the ‘gory’ of senselessly slaughtering wolves as well). Not wolves.

Well anyway, that my opinion xD. Haterz welcome :3 I’d love to argue.

    - Hope Palin gets burned at the stake.

  16. By the way, Erika R, you seem to be real concerned about the amount of elk deaths. Why would the deaths of wolves be any different? Just think about it. If aerial hunting is promoted, which will happen if Palin is elected, then more hunters will just go on over to Alaska and go totally trigger happy. You think this will HELP elk? You think they won’t slaughter elk, deer, and everything else too? Time to wake up. You seem to want all wolves dead. Once that happens, the elk population will explode, eventually killing themselves out. You’d be real proud of all that carnage then, wouldn’t you? We NEED wolves create and maintain a balanced ecosystem. And the link you posted was a joke. Half of the elk shown were slaughtered by humans, and you want to know why the ones that were brought down by wolves weren’t eaten? Because idiots were tromping around the wilderness with big flashy cameras taking pictures of their food and scaring them off.
