Now, now, the above statements do us no good. We don't know if people are toting the "other" bag around, yet still using the plastic bags. The fact that they are toting them around means that they are, at the very least, cutting back on one bag. What we want is for people to stop using plastic bags! Any way that they begin to cut back on their plastic bag usage is fine with me. Christopher Bodeen of the Associated Press wrote, "The Sierra Club estimated that if every one of New York City's eight million people used one less grocery bag per year, it would reduce waste by about 218,000 pounds" (2008, January). This article can be viewed at http://news.nationalgeographic.com/new/pf/61572227.html
I hope those carrying the "other" bag don't see these postings, feel like fools, stop carrying their one bag and go back to using ONLY plastic bags. Posts like that counteract the good that this movement is doing. Come on, people, why the need to belittle others?

I doubt my wife and I could comfortably go in stores with that written on our bags but I do like it! Instead, we write on them interesting facts about the ratio of cost to manufacture/recycle plastic bags, the damage they do to the environment and wildlife, etc. It is very effective, and nearly every time we go to the grocery we influence others to buy and use reusable bags. It is very gratifying.

I wish I had the courage to wear this around town. At least I have my own set of reusable bags, just none as colorful as this one. They're old ones from Whole Foods, but it doesn't make sense to keep buying the newest one just to be trendy.

I LOVE this.

I actually HATE HATE HATE that other bag, i think it's stupid. Pretty much for the reason written on THIS bag and the "stuck up" factor of the other one. People tote it more like a status symbol then a message.
