Jon Stewart Says Sarah Palin Is Like Jodie Foster In The Movie ‘Nell’

Filed under: politics — michael @ 2:14 pm

Jon Stewart made clear which candidate he’s supporting Tuesday night at the Project ALS benefit at the Waldorf-Astoria. The Daily Show star responded to host Ben Stiller’s comments that he can’t choose sides due to his position on television saying, “Oh, I think it’s pretty clear. Neither of them is perfect, but if you, out of nowhere, are going to grab a woman out of the woods and make her your vice presidential candidate, what can I do?”

“[Sarah Palin] is like Jodie Foster in the movie Nell, ” Stewart continued. “They just found her, and she was speaking her own special language.”

“Have you noticed how [Palin's] rallies have begun to take on the characteristics of the last days of the Weimar Republic? In Florida, she asked ‘Who is Barack Obama?’ Hey, lady, we just met YOU five f-ing weeks ago.”

All money raised from the event went towards research into amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a degenerative neurological disease.

  1. Mr. Stewart…..don’t care abour your liberal hollywood views. In fact, hollywoods opinions don’t count much with the public anymore.

If the only way you can get your point accross is by using the “f” word……very sad….

  2. Dear Mike A,

If I recall it’s McCain’s sick outbursts (the man needs mental help from his years of pain and anguish in the war- not a seat in the white house) he swears all the time. As does DICK head Cheney who told Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy to go F himself right on the senate floor.

And it’s too bad you don’t notice Hollywood’s views because guess what? it happens to be the MAJORITY’s views in this country as well. Just as it was when Al Gore won in the white house but Georgey weasled his way in (if that wasn’t illegal and won’t go down as a big sin in history I don’t know what will- well except maybe the war and poverty he and Dick head cheney have put us in)

So yes our “liberal” views do count. You’ll see that on election day mark my word.

Now go back to your normal boards, but glad you found us on here for this post about your hero moose shootin’ polar bear killin’ oil drillin Palin.

    Erin

  3. I sense panic with the left. John, you can’t make it to the A list, that is why you are on comedy central. That must hurt. Maybe you need a shrink.

  4. erin - you should be sending a THANK YOU card to John McCain for his service to our country instead of bashing him for his war wounds. REMEMBER … FREEDOM IS NOT FREE!
Obama did not make the military happy when he shunned OUR HEROS on his basketball visit to the war zone!

another hollywood liberal bozo trashing Palin … they do not speak for the majority i know!

And speaking of illegal tactics … heard about the ACORN issues surrounding the great one?

  5. Wow, where did posts come from? The republicans are this desperate, to seek out the liberals on ecorazzi? That is just radical! Hahahaha!
John Stewart is funny, intelligent, and good looking to boot! And he reflects most of my views on the world today.

  6. You know, I don’t recall that Vietnam was ever a threat to the U.S., so please don’t give me this “fighting for our freedom” hooey. And John McCain got treated less harshly in the prison camp than others once they realized who his father and grandfather were–but then unlike another son and grandson of two very well-connected men, McCain actually WENT to war.

Nobody is bashing him for his war wounds, but his nasty temper even scares members of his own party, and he was apparently a truly unpleasant piece of work before his stay in the Hanoi Hilton. And that he picked Scary Palin, who he barely knew, to be vice president without properly vetting her, is a sign of bad judgment. He should have known before asking her that she pals around with Alaska secessionists.

The War on Communism has been rebranded as the War on Terror–first a war against an idea and then a war against a tactic, neither of which are winnable, both of which are utter feel-good bullshit.

And it’s Jon Stewart, without the “h”, folks.

  7. Damnit. Changed it. Thanks, VT.

  8. Isn’t it odd how John McCain was the darling of the left until he became the Republican candidate?

This psychosis is typical of lefties.
