In an effort to get out the vote — and expand the wastelines of Americans everywhere — Krispy Kreme is offering all voters a free doughnut on election day. From the release,
“On Election Day, Nov. 4, 2008, participating Krispy Kreme stores will offer one free star-shaped doughnut with red, white and blue sprinkles to each customer wearing an “I Voted” sticker. While voters may not always agree on the best candidate, voters can agree on one thing: Celebrating one of America’s most coveted constitutional rights can be oh-so sweet.”
I’m not saying that free doughnuts are a horrible thing — hell, at least KFC isn’t offering up a free drumstick to everyone. Yet. But we here at the Razz would encourage everyone to vote — and then go snack down on some healty alternative. After all, what’s the fun in voting for change if you’re body ain’t up to the task of getting through the next four years?!
