Krispy Kreme Offers Voters An Extra Pound On Election Day

October 30th 2008

In an effort to get out the vote — and expand the wastelines of Americans everywhere — Krispy Kreme is offering all voters a free doughnut on election day. From the release,

On Election Day, Nov. 4, 2008, participating Krispy Kreme stores will offer one free star-shaped doughnut with red, white and blue sprinkles to each customer wearing an “I Voted” sticker. While voters may not always agree on the best candidate, voters can agree on one thing: Celebrating one of America’s most coveted constitutional rights can be oh-so sweet.”

I’m not saying that free doughnuts are a horrible thing — hell, at least KFC isn’t offering up a free drumstick to everyone. Yet. But we here at the Razz would encourage everyone to vote — and then go snack down on some healty alternative. After all, what’s the fun in voting for change if you’re body ain’t up to the task of getting through the next four years?!

  1. Really? You even have something negative to say about free doughnuts? Give it a rest! And have you not heard of the saying, “There is no such thing as ‘bad publicity’?” Not mentioning Krispy Kreme might be a better option for your “cause.”

  2. Wow…i have been catching up on posts and MAN are people snippy lately. A similar slam was on Super Vegan….

People…this is an opinionated site…with a definite theme/lifestyle associated with it.

Get over it. You disagree, don’t get all snippy talking about “causes” make a constructive comment or don’t bother saying anything. I don’t see this post as anyone pushing a “cause”. They are just saying that doughnuts are not healthy….WHICH IS TRUE!@!@

I agree with this post and i hope the people at Ecorazzi WILL ALWAYS speak from there hearts <333

  3. ainteasybeinggreen sounds as if it gave birth to the free donuts or something…

someone other than Ecorazzi needs to give it a rest.
