Pamela Anderson To Develop New Line Of Eco-Friendly Products

November 3rd 2008

The latest celebrity to sell us some eco-friendly products is none other than Pamela Anderson. The actress/activist, who already has a line of cruelty-free beach boots, is looking to launch an all-natural, all-green, American-made line of body care products.

“I’m in process of developing a line of 100 per cent natural, green, conflict free, cruelty free, made in America products,” she said. “But I’ll tell you the hardest part and the most expensive part has been trying to keep things made in America. People have even refused to work with me because of this. Even now, I’m developing my sun care body oil line — 100 per cent natural, made locally. I’m considering ingredients received through free trade. Maybe I can use just local ingredients.”

Will those “products in development” be more than just body oil? Stay tuned as Anderson hopefully reveals more of her upcoming green line! And props for attempting to keep those ingredients local!

  1. Though it sometimes feels like an onslaught of celebrity endorsed crap, I will not knock anyone’s attempt to bring more natural/healthy/eco/cruelty-free/etc… products on the market. I applaud any effort!

I just hope that more of these types of things will be more readily available and widespread (i.e., in my local stores) AND, even moreso, be more affordable. the last product I browsed(Rare2B beauty products) were ridiculously expensive. The daily face lotion was $53! Ugh…I want organic, toxin-free ingredients, but dang, I also want to eat this month.

  2. That said, I’m excited to see the David Babaii products will be in Target stores. It’s a start. :)

  3. It’s utter ridiciculous though that she still uses hair bleach (that isn’t good for the enviroment) and Silicone isn’t that good either. I have both too, but she’s the one saying she’s ‘green’ not me!

  4. I say the more cruelty free products the better!
