You know you’re pretty much a big deal when people start inventing categories for you! See also: designer extraordanaire Stella McCartney. On Monday night, McCartney was honored at the 12th annual Accessories Council Excellence (ACE) Awards as the very first Green Designer of the Year – an incredible honor!

We here at the Razz absolutely adore Stella and all she does for the environment and animals. McCartney makes very public her resistance to fur and leather, which are toxic for the environment, and told Women’s Wear Daily, “I do want to show that accessories can be made from a more ethical viewpoint—and be sexy and cool. The myth of leather—that every bag and shoe needs to be made from it—needs to be broken down. It’s a bit caveman.”

So from all of us here at Ecorazzi, a big hip-hip hooray to one of our favorite planet-focused designers on a job well done! Keep rocking the good stuff, Stella!
