Celebrity Builder Tommy Walsh Could Lose Big Bucks On Eco-Friendly Home

November 7th 2008

While you might think it’s only America that’s seen a dramatic drop in the housing market, it looks like the rest of the world is feeling the pain of a risky economy as well.

Celebrity builder Tommy Walsh might lose almost £80,000 on an eco-friendly home that he built for the Discovery Channel earlier last year. The Cambridgeshire property has been on the market for £180,000 for over a year, but because of the lackluster economy, Walsh has recently decided to auction it with a reserve of £100,000.

He told the news provider: “The whole project including decor, fitted kitchen, landscaping, etc cost over £175,000 to build. So this could be your opportunity to really bag a bargain.”

So if you’ve got a cool £100,000 to burn and are looking for an eco-property across the pond, visit TommysHouse.co.uk and find out more!

  2. In spite of the whole crisis, this is a real bargain! My brother bought a house as well just a few days ago, even though we could claim to be in a recession or even depression. I am a little upset that I don’t want to check out this venue:D
