I just love me some Rosie O’Donnell!! I may not ALWAYS agree with EVERYTHING she has to say, but I have so much respect for her fearlessness and honesty. And let’s not forget about all the wonderful things she does for charity and the arts!
Anyway, as a regular Rosie blog reader I got super sad when I saw the above photo posted on her homepage! ROSIE WEARING FUR?? Then I saw that a fan had asked: “Oh La La Rosie! fake mink of course right?” To which Rosie responded, “right. 80 bucks. second hand shop.” Yay! Not only do we love that Ro is rocking the fake stuff, but also praise her for supporting second-hand stores. Way to be kind to the animals AND the planet! Make sure everyone tunes into Rosie’s new variety show on November 26th at 8pm on NBC!

Phew! I love Rosie and second hand shopping…it’s nice when two good things come together!
I’m all for the secondhand shopping but doesn’t even wearing fake fur/leather/etc. propagate the idea that the real thing is fashionable? It seems like it to me. I prefer Rosie in a nice cotton getup.
ya i have to say i’m not down with wearing fake fur either. i have done it a time or two in my life (never wore real fur, ever) but i agree with kyle on this one. rosie’s cool and that mink is amazingly real looking (I wish all the bitches who wear real would go fake) but i think we need to get away from the fur idea altogether… i’m not even a huge pleather fan though i do sport a few coats (and my pleather pants
from time to time (oh and my pleather boots- can’t really live without them) but eventually i’d like to move away from those. go all veggie non pleather healthy eco friendly non animal with my clothes AND shoes…

Sorry to be a grammar nazi, but it should be wearing instead of whereing. I also agree with the other posters about fake fur. If it looks exactly like the real thing, most people are going to assume that’s what it is. I don’t know why a truly anti-fur person would wear it.
Ban- Good call on el grammar!
I wasn’t planning on watching her new show especially when I saw her in a fur coat. I googled it and found this site. Fake fur!!!! I love you Rosie and I will now tune in. Thanks for protecting the animals!!!
