James Bond Star Daniel Craig Has Bacon Flown To Italy

It’s one thing to like bacon, but it’s quite another to LIKE bacon. Case in point, a one Mr. Daniel Craig (aka James Bond) requested that British bacon be flown to him in Italy while shooting Quantum of Solace. 

Besides contributing to the reckless slaughter of animals, Craig is totally pissing off mother earth. Seriously? Flying in bacon from England? 

After hearing the news, the UK chapter of PETA decided to send the 007 star a treat of their own – veggie bacon! On their website, PETA says: “To be a hero on and off screen, we think Mr Bond should save animals’ lives and give the veggie variety of bacon a go! What’s more, he might not be aware that eating meat can make you sluggish in the bedroom: because meat can contribute to clogsing the arteries to all of a person’s organs, it can lead to a higher risk of heart disease, strokes and even impotence – a problem unlikely to affect the fictional James Bond.”

While we definitely would rather see Craig eating the fake stuff, flying in products from Britain to Italy seems mighty wasteful. What do you think Ecorazzi readers? Is it worth the CO2 emissions to prove a point? Chime in and share your thoughts!

    He’s fit and healthy regardless – because he has a huge number of personal trainers and a strong disciplined regime of exercise..

    I disagree with sending out bacon from the UK – stinks of J-Lo and her massive entourage – don’t be a diva Daniel.

    As someone that is easing away from the meat lovin lifestyle of being a midwest girl….I know first hand that bacon is one of the hardest meats to shake…I’m not sure why, but it is.

    What a coincidence. Me too. But Lightlife’s Smart Bacon fixed that though.

    Lettuce, tomato, and vegan mayonaise with some of their fake bacon won’t leave you hanging.

    Daniel Craig is no Pierce Brosnan. I was numbed by the new Bond. All the wit is gone. It’s just pure flash cuts and muscle. You may as well just be watching a new installment of the Transporter! Nobody will ever replace the class of Sean Connery… So they went for a hard case tug vibe. Ian Fleming is probably rolling around in his grave… They should allow other creators to take on the franchise, but it is so indentified with the theme song, whoever has the right to it, has the rights to Bond, which is why the last Sean Connery Bond failed. The theme song wasn’t there.

    What a ridiculous thing to waste the fuel to haul BACON, of all things, to ITALY!
